Proud South Australians eat Cheezels

The Nick Xenophon Team presented a box of Cheezels to NSW Senator David Leyonhjelm as a Christmas gift today after the Liberal Democratic politician was critical of South Australia.

"This week Senator Leyonhjelm likened South Australia to a 40-year-old obese man (presumably wearing a tank top), living with his mum, eating Cheezels and drinking iced coffee all day and refusing to work," Federal Member for Mayo Rebekha Sharkie said.

"In response, NXT Senator Nick Xenophon likes to quote singer Kamahl 'Why are people so unkind?', especially when the NXT in South Australia are kicking goals for public policy, ensuring Australian standards in the building industry and greater Australian content in Government procurement."
