Australia Day celebrations across Mayo

The following Australia Day Ceremonies and event are organised by the councils across Mayo and will be held on Thursday, January 26.

Mount Barker Council Australia Day Ceremony and Family Fun Day

Robert Charles Room, Auchendarroch House, Adelaide Road Mount Barker,

10am-12.30pm

Free sausage sizzle, children's games, face painting and roving entertainment.

Australia Day Ambassador Dorinda Hafner will be in attendance.

The winners and runners-up of the council's photographic competition will be announced following the civic ceremony.

$5 hearty Australian breakfast, proudly arranged by the Rotary Club of Strathalbyn.

Citizenship Ceremony and Australia Day Awards presentation at 9am.

Goolwa Bowling Club, Goyder Street, Goolwa.

8am-12pm

8am Goolwa Lions breakfast at the Goolwa Bowling Club. $7 cost for adults and $5 for children under 12. Family $20.

Citizenship Ceremony and Australia Day Awards presentation at Centenary Hall on Cadell Street at 11am.

Bungala Park, Normanville. 9am-12pm

The District Council of Yankalilla will hold its awards ceremony at Bungala Park, Normanville.

The ceremony 9am along with the awards presentation, which will include a guest speaker and the Yankalilla Lions Club providing its traditional sausage sizzle.

Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor, 6.30am-10am

The Rotary clubs of Victor Harbor and Encounter Bay will combine to cook breakfast before the ceremony at Warland Reserve from 7am.

Kangaroo Island Australia Day Ceremony

Hope Cottage, Centenary Avenue, Kingscote

10am ceremony, 11am morning tea.
