The Mount Barker District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital is out of pace with demand from a burgeoning Hills population. A more self-sufficient Mount Barker Hospital would accommodate more inpatients, and provide on-site pathology, expanded day surgery facilities and more chemotherapy and renal beds. This vital infrastructure would ease pressure on our State’s health system including hills and metropolitan hospitals and ambulance services. I call on the Government to provide the Adelaide Hills with a fit for purpose hospital which can meet growing demand.
