The Federal Member for Mayo, Rebekha Sharkie, is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible community groups seeking grants for small capital projects in Round 7 of the Stronger Communities Programme.
The EOI can be completed online below.
Community groups and organisations must lodge their EOI no later than 5pm Friday 10th December
For more information, call the Electorate Office on 8398 5566.
Mayo has been allocated $150,000 to share among up to 20 local not-for-profit organisations or clubs.
Applicants do not have to match the grant funding with their own fundraising or in-kind support, unless the applicant is a council. Local government bodies will be required to match eligible project costs dollar-for-dollar.
Eligible groups must be an incorporated not-for-profit with an ABN. They can apply for grants between *$2,500 and $20,00 for small capital projects.
As in previous rounds, Rebekha will set up an independent committee of local community leaders to evaluate Expressions of Interest (EOI) lodged with her Electorate Office.
The independent committee will shortlist up to 20 applications. Chosen groups will then be invited to lodge formal applications. All shortlisted applications have to submitted to the Commonwealth before 19 January 2020. Projects under Round Seven of the program will have up to 31 December 2022 to complete.
