Grants newsletter 2020

Welcome to the March edition of the grants newsletter.

Our office will be facilitating expressions of interest for the latest round of Volunteer Grants offered by the Federal Government. Groups can apply for between $1000 and $5000 to cover background screening checks of volunteers, training, fuel costs and eligible items. To be an eligible item, items must be portable, tangible and bought to benefit the volunteers (i.e. permanent fixtures are not classed as eligible items).

Please view the Volunteer Grants information page on my website for further information and the EOI form.

Below is a compilation of grant highlights, however comprehensive lists of current business and community grants are also available:

If you are a rural business looking for grants or other financial support, Rural Business Support is a leading not-for-profit provider of agribusiness services and independent support for farmers and small business owners in rural areas who are concerned about their financial future.

As always, I am happy to provide a letter of support for any funding application our community groups and sporting clubs wish to make. This can be organised by contacting my Grants Officer, Milly Pink, directly at amelia.pink@aph.gov.au. Please provide us with at least two weeks’ notice and include a draft of your application with your request to ensure a detailed letter of support can be provided.

If I or my office can be of any further assistance at any time, please do not hesitate to contact my office on 8398 5566.

Kind regards

Rebekha Sharkie MP
Federal Member for Mayo
